I'm Anna Hull and I first got the idea for My Magpie Heart a while ago. I originally wanted to design my own cross stitch designs, but hadn't done any art since A levels at school. So I joined an art class a few years ago and as I gradually got better, I fell back in love with art.  After a lot of experiments and trying a lot of different things, I started to like some of what I made. Even better, other people liked some of it too and wanted to buy a copy.

I've set up this website to show the pieces I'm proud of, as well as the ones that have taught me something.  Like a magpie, I take inspiration from a variety of sources, work with a lot of different media, and enjoy bringing all the shiny marvels I find together into new images. I've come a long way, and I'm still trying new things, so who knows what might come next. (I might even get around to designing cross stitch kits one day).  I hope you like what I've made in my effort to please my magpie heart.
